The in-person residency in Seattle is a central component to both IAL programs. The summer session allows students to be part of a robust learning community while building a crucial network of industry peers on campus.
The IAL-Admin program begins with an 8-week intensive summer session on the University of Washington campus. Students take one course per week and can expect to be in class from 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This summer session begins in late June and is completed in mid-August. At the end of the summer session, students will have completed 23 credits towards this 48-credit Master’s program.
The IAL-Coaching program has two separate summer residencies. The first summer is a 4-week intensive session on the UW campus in Seattle that kick starts the program. Students will take four courses during this session and can expect to be in class from 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The first summer session begins in late June and is completed mid-July. The second summer session will take place the following summer in early July and will last for 3 weeks. Splitting the summer session over two summers will allow active coaches to minimize time away from their campus.
