SCHEDULE

As an IAL student you will attend class for an eight-week summer intensive from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, on the UW Seattle campus. During the academic year that immediately follows this summer period, you will gain real world experience fulfilling Career Rotations and internships across a broad field of functional areas. Our students intern and work at colleges and universities across the nation and are not restricted to working solely in the Seattle area during the academic year. While completing these internship rotations, you will engage in courses at a distance, guided by online suggestions, discussion of readings, and feedback from instructors and classmates. You will return to the Seattle campus once per quarter, for a three day extended weekend session to meet with your course instructor and classmates. The culminating project will be the development of the Professional Learning Portfolio that you will develop and refine throughout the academic year.

Individuals starting the program in June 2009 can expect to complete the coursework and earn the degree by June 2010.
