- About UW
The IAL curriculum is delivered through a variety of instructional techniques. IAL students are continually being challenged with case study method, group discussions, public speaking opportunities, professional development, and rich dialogue with their classmates. The classroom environment is quite progressive and cutting-edge; a far departure from your traditional lecture hall. Class topics are relevant, timely, and address the issues central to being a leader within the sector of collegiate athletics. Additionally, our world class faculty supplements their instruction by bringing in athletics leaders from across the nation. Our students hear firsthand from athletic directors, conference commissioners, intercollegiate athletic department staff, NCAA representatives, and researchers from the field of athletics.
Our world-class faculty supplements their curriculum with guest lectures from professionals within intercollegiate athletics. Our students hear firsthand from the premier leaders of the athletics industry: Athletic Directors, Conference Commissioners, NCAA representatives, General Managers, and more. These speakers, hailing from all parts of the country, serve to represent a variety of different institutions (Division I BCS to Community Colleges) and departments (Academics to Development).
